In the years before moving to North Carolina, we lived & worked in many places throughout the Bay Area. For quite some time we lived in the North Bay (San Rafael, then Santa Rosa) and worked on the Peninsula (San Mateo, Foster City). The drive through the City on 19th Avenue and across the Golden Gate Bridge was all too familiar. Later we moved to Berkeley commuting into SF. In this image both the old cantilever section of the Oakland Bay Bridge and the Golden Gate Bridge are combined into a single view--or collected memory. The cantilever section of the Bay Bridge is history now, but its architecture juxtaposed against the graceful beauty of the Golden Gate is a fond memory. There's an almost hidden reference to passing through the City on Lombard St. if you can find it! We hope you enjoy this as much as we do.
