Taken from the Corolla Lighthouse in the NC Outer Banks, this image includes views from both above looking down and below looking up. The beauty of the fine details in the iron staircase comes through to remind us how even in such a spare building as a remote lighthouse, the builders took pride in creating something distinctly beautiful.
