This image came from a series of photographs taken in NYC, but as you can see have been heavily "interpreted". The building lifts (or pushes) up into the sky. The muted colors suggest the urban source but disengage it from being tied to NY. For us, it has a suggestive quality of an old German woodblock, but who knows...that may just be us.
