We are intrigued by the junction between nature and human endeavor. Here you see several images joined to produce this statement. The bridge is the cantilever section of the Bay Bridge in San Francisco--now replaced. The 'tree' is itself an allusion as it's an image of the sculpture 'Graft' from the National Gallery of Art. Honolulu Bay rests in the background. Invitation, imitation, obstruction, and beauty are the themes evoked.
