Extemporalized photography. The darkness is intentional. The forest is a dreamlike wilderness where camouflage and context often envelop a discrete subject here an animal, the stag. Likewise the peripheral darkness of a dream often envelopes the inchoate image. This is the mood this extemporalization seeks to evoke: a questioning of where the dream object comes from heightened here by the adventure of the underlying photograph and the power of the mythic dimensions of the stag.
