Surreal Forest

Beyond Real By J. L. Thomason

Extemporalized photography. The forest on an abstract level is repetition, regularity, conformity, and rhythmic anomaly while substitution is the gesture of perception that suggests its relativity. If one has ever had the experience of beginning to dream then quickly awakening not remembering the recent dreamspace the power of the hidden abstraction may be familiar. As a concept it is mysterious to contemplate. There are worlds beyond the cities where influence resides in the imaginal. I hike in and memorialize then perhaps extemporalize perhaps creating a novel atmosphere and affect.
