This is a huge tree that stands at my old home place. We called it the bear tree. There is a hole in the trunk of the tree where i used to put my teddy bear at night. Then in the morning we would go back out and get it. It was quite a hike from the house to get to the tree. I had a great mother. I don't recall how old I was but she must have thought it was that important to me to take that teddy out there every night!. I thought of the poem when a friend of mine passed away due to cancer.
