Oleander leaf #2, 2021, is part of my black and white photography series “Dry leaves”. This series is an intimate look at the shape, texture, and tones of some common leaves after they have dried out. Using specialized lighting techniques and a black background, I endeavor to show that there is still beauty in these botanical subjects after they have lost their attractive pigments, smooth surface, and luster.
