I took this botanical abstract at the Carmel Mission, California, USA, on an overcast day. The clouds helped to create the soft, diffused light to take this picture, which highlights the pattern and texture of the succulent leaves. Agave leaves, 2021, was featured in my self-published book “Chloroplast” (blurb.com), a photographic exploration of the world of organisms that derive energy from the sun.
