Apple harvest, 2021

9a. Still Life By Alessandra Chaves

When it i sample season, I like to go with my family to Apple Hill, California, to buy fresh Arkansas Black apple to make pies. These apples are hard, tough, a little sour, perfect for cooking. They are also beautiful and yield compelling photographs against a dark background. In this frame, there are a few Whinesapp apples as well, on the top side of the wooden bucket.
