In the summer of 2020, when Californian's were on and off locked down because of Covid-19, I decided to photograph peppers from the local farmers market against a gray to black background. Although only five photographs resulted from this effort, peppers kept me entertained for an entire summer as I tried to find the best angles to bring up their hidden qualities. Body Builder, 2020, reminds me of a very strong man ready for a boxing round.
