Triteleia laxa, Ithuriel's Spear

7. Color By Alessandra Chaves

On a beautiful spring day walking about the Stebbins Cold Canyon, a UC Davis preserve, I came across this wildflower. I used a flash to create the effect of a black background. Ithuriel's Spear, Triteleia laxa, is a common native perennial herb that grows primarily in northern and central California, usually in openings in forest or woodland with sandy leaves soil.
