Original Photo taken between Harrisburg and Coburg, Oregon. When I saw this tree I thought about how in the city when someone passes way we sometimes through shoes on to telephone lines. And here I am driving down this winding country road and find a tree covered in shoes. We think we are so different but I see this and think maybe we aren't. The tree is dead and the shoes remind me of lives that were lived. It reminds us that death may not be the end and although it feels eerie and dark it is also beautiful.
