Meditate on Peace By Penny Makris

The initial inspiration for this painting came from an enthusiastic wish to try out my set of Interference Paints which shimmer & change color when painted over a black background. The meditative figure appeared first and then came the surrounding energy waves. Original painting is 24x18", acrylic on paper. The title came to me months later, inspired by a story told by Alan Cohen (A Course in Miracles Teacher) about the crucial importance of maintaining personal peace no matter what is happening in the outside world.
