Meditate on Peace By Penny Makris

This is the painting in which this meditative figure first appeared, starting with the seated figure, then the heart & the greenery, and lastly the circular lines. I was hesitant to add the lines, not wanting to "ruin" what was, yet they absolutely wanted to be there. The title came from those "transmission" lines or waves - not certain whether they were incoming or outgoing, or maybe both! Fun fact: This painting was featured on the cover of Volume 10 of HEADWATERS: Appalachian Journal of Expressive Arts Therapy, 2015.
