Mystical Faces & Figures By Penny Makris

I created this painting with watercolor using a technique of pouring layers of color one at a time, using masking fluid to save each layer before pouring the next. To me this is similar to a type of batik process. The face & design came completely from my intuitive drawing process. Original is 7x9" Watercolor with a touch of white gouache on the lips. The available prints are printed on bright white watercolor paper to maintain the appearance of the original artwork.
