Void Jumper

Prints By Jamie Chiarello

I guess fuck staring at the void - why not jump right in ? We are all so perpetually thrown into experiences unforeseen, unexpected, unprecedented. This image makes me think of these experiences less as derailments and more as portals that bring us to something unknown. It makes me think of the recent movie 'everything, everywhere, all at once' (which im definitely recommending by writing this.) The world is so much bigger and more mysterious than the small plays we imagine ourselves in. Remembering the vastness is somehow comforting for me. (This image is also kind of interesting because i started it from a live model who was laying on the floor.... and went back into it later to see 'what might happen' and turned it sideways and suddenly she was falling. I suppose theres also something to be said for looking at something a new from a different angle and coming out with an entirely different impression.)
