Chinese Junk Fishing Boat with Setting Sun

Seas and Sails By Mark Mrohs

A Chinese junk fishing boat is returning to port at the end of another long day. Three crimson sails are aglow with the light of the setting sun and reflect on the calm sea. But the sails don't have traditional battens. Instead they're laced with veins like leaves - they are alive. Perhaps they nourish the ship as they draw from the sun, just as the ship draws from the sea.
