This painting was pulled from various photographs and memories of my childhood growing up in the country. Layers of color create the slightly abstracted artwork. My landscape paintings are intended to invoke a sense of dreamlike nostalgia by the viewer. Although you may not have witnessed the actual scenery depicted, I hope the imagery takes you to a place of fond memories and feelings of peace. Just imagine... A storm is rolling in over the bay. The cloud cover darkens the water below. The wind has grabbed hold of the grasses below and twists the blades in all directions. You stand in awe of Mother Nature for the last few moments before the rain starts to fall forcing you to take cover indoors.
