As I drove by this abandoned factory, silo, cistern, and house somewhere around Warrensburgh, New York, I was intrigued by the juxtaposition of the obviously old and weather beaten structures. I'm not even sure for what the buildings were once used. But the combination of their forms made for an interesting composition. Instead of attempting to render them realistically, I opted to simply emphasize the forms and shapes by electing my own complementary color arrangement for the painting.
