2000 OCEAN CITY, NJ. Seated on the front porch of our Ocean City Guest Home, I picked up a pencil and began to sketch the view in front of me. This view was one I had looked at hundreds of times. But with pencil in hand, and looking intently at the houses across the way, the possibility of a painting gradually emerged. Life is often like that. Sometimes out what is just ordinary and totally familiar, new vistas and new insights are birthed. All has the capacity of revelation. There is no dichotomy between the profane and the sacred.
