10 A. Cape May State Park Lighthouse

Donald Hazen Brown Archive By Don Brown

2002 CAPE MAY, NJ. I initially made a copy this little painting to give to a non-profit group to auction off as a means of raising funds for their mission to feed the hungry. (It did well in the auction, selling for $250.00) The Lighthouse is seen from one of the trails that makes it way through the dunes at the State Park. As I painted, several "hikers" stopped by to comment on the beauty of the park, the grounds, and the lighthouse. It was a good day for such comments, for it was the day immediately after 9/11. Even in the darkest of times, we need to "feed" on the beauty around us.
