The Beast and the Teacher of Righteousness

This is a print of my original watercolor painting of the contest between the forces of good and evil, the sons of light and the sons of darkness, a theme common to the eschatalogical literature of several religions, including Zoroastrianism, Judaism, Christianity and Islam. The scene is the gathering of forces on both sides before the final confrontation. On the left is the Beast, Angra Mainyu, the Persecutor, the Deceiver Dajjal, the leader of the sons of darkness. On the right is a bearded figure representing the Teacher of Righteousness, Spenta Mainyu, 'Issa ibn Maryam, Jesus, the son of Man, the leader of the sons of light.
