THE CAUSEWAY AND THE CHORUS Antrim Coast • County Antrim Painting He looked out from the causeway, seeing in the distance the shadow of his past: a promise, a beginning on a distant shore yet to be revealed. The cause was clear and yet he could not yet break free from it, for littered here among the ruin was the recreation and a chorus ever rising. Giant was his heart, gentle and raw where it bore still the wounding that superseded time and space. She had known it and blown in upon this wind was all the evidence there before her.
