THIS MEMORY ALIVE IN ME: Glenade Lake Glenade Lake Painting County Leitrim Ireland Painting Inspired by the legendary events at Glenade Lake in Ireland, this painting brings together ancient legend and my connection to the formation rising from the mountains above, which I call "Mother on the Mountain." Here, she comes as if from another world, bearing witness to the gruesome scene. The monster, called the Dobhar-chu by the Irish, seems to have become one with the bloated, floating body of its victim. On a nearby shore, her bereft husband looks upon the gruesome scene as the wild Irish skies open to the reign of stormy spirits. This is the memory alive in me. What does your soul remember?
