Inspired by many visits to the mystical Glencar Waterfall in County Leitrim, Ireland, this painting is one of emergence and surrender. Figures come forth from a wall of rock alongside plants that grew in the cold dark of deep crevices and pushed through worn and splintered wood to make their way to light. Through the spraying waters, animals and people emerge playfully as they speak with sacred silence and solemnity of surrender and the grace of the otherworld.
