The Climb: At Skellig Michael. The journey there and then the climb to the top of this sanctuary in the wild winds off the Kerry coast had been an arduous one. Yet, here, atop Skellig Michael there was a certain calm and a closeness to the ever-changing skies that brought the heart alive. Beat by beat, day by day, the monk felt his spirit soar evermore and gave thanks for the simple beehive hut and the grace that rose to meet him on the way.
