Oratory of the Angels

Ireland Paintings By Dawn Richerson

Mount Errigal, one of the Seven Sisters in the Derryveagh Mountains in inspiring County Donegal, dominates the landscape as one drives inland from the coast toward Glenveagh National Park in Ireland. The name of the iconic mountain means “oratory” and here I stood in awe and indeed I heard angels singing. Here is the poem I wrote about it: Oratory of the Angels a poem from the soul for the soul With prayerful presence to pure possibility, I walk on, for walking is all I know of this life. Their voices find me and l find traces of the life before, ever merging and emerging. Imprints of emotion found on the haggard faces of seven sisters, feeling written in the clouded skies. My legs grow heavy and still I walk on, for I can hear them singing, beckoning. Echoes of a resounding truth rises from still and ancient deep, enrapture and fill me, lifting me. I do not know their mystery or how I came to be on the way, lost in time. Flashes of a forever story, always their oratory, rise up and raise me up to glory. For the love of this winding journey, my soul sings. Smiling, I am ever on the road to Errigal. In the heart of the Emerald Isle I was met with mystery and miracle. The soul of Ireland spoke to my soul, and I was forever changed. Connect to your essential story of life through inspiring Irish landscapes in the Soul of Ireland Collection.
