As I stood gazing onto the Dartry mountains, the clouds stretched into slender, sloping shapes above, as if a great being was gliding overhead. The mountain itself seemed to live and breathe as the wind passed through the gold-speckled leaves on a nearby tree. The scene in County Leitrim, near the border with County Sligo, Ireland, was a convergence of timelines, an opening to something magical and mysterious. I imagined sleeping dragons alive inside the mighty mountains and saw the new leaves on the tree rustle with delight and affirmation.
