White Lady of Rippling Waters

Blue Ridge Parkway Paintings By Dawn Richerson

Afternoon shadows lengthened and crept up to the shoreline of the ripping waters. She was in her stride now, in flex and flux, flowing with the movement of the waters and the song upon her heart, like a rose opening to the sun. She became like water, responding to the call of the ocean as it moved in her, laughing at the playful spirits that filled these woods with magic and mystery. This Soul of Place painting is from the Claytor Callings Series inspired by experiences at the Claytor Nature Center in Bedford, Virginia. The series is part of the Blue Ridge Blessings Collection from Virginia artist Dawn Richerson. What does your soul remember? What story of life is alive inside of you?
