In a barren landscape beneath the illumined night sky, an azure lake shaped as the walrus on the left and the whale on the right reflects the story of the seven selves she shed as she made the climb that day to lift up her whole heart. This, all she had left, seemed a meager offering, but she knew its gift would be held by the reflection in the desert sea below. She saw its promise in the memory that took shape in the clouds sprung from a yellow moon that Summer Solstice night. In this, the land they once had walked together, she let go of all the questions. At last, she let the sky hold her like an ocean and she became the boat, the vessel, the one who held the memory of their dream. This acrylic painting is from the Spirited Life collection.
