We moved to Detroit so my husband could work in the automotive industry. but I also grew up around cars. Somewhere along the way while I was painting, this work started to take on a somewhat vehicular appearance to me. Looking back, that makes sense since I was thinking about how difficult it is to set up reliable systems that work for me - unlike factory assembly lines. Painted in Golden fluid acrylic paints in bright turquoise and quinacridone red tones with white and black accents. The bright pink tones play off the blue with organic and geometric shapes and visible brush strokes.
