In places like Argentina with miles and miles of open range, keeping the cattle inside a fence is sometimes hard to do. Rounding them up and bringing them back is a way of life around ranches and estancias. The gaucho in this picture is the equivalent of the American cowboy and will often spend days on end out on the range. It's a lonely existence.
