I created this face mask decades ago as a gift for my mother. When she passed away, it was given back to me. I celebrate the winter solstice with small lighted trees in the winter. After I placed my mask there as a temporary sculpture I took this photograph of my partner Mark reaching out towards it. I had titled the mask Humanity, and have titled this piece The Season of Humanity.
