No minimums. * Art Creations Store by ZDA on back Displays a unique photo, or custom design art work! The Curtis Island Lighthouse was built in 1896 using Bricks. The other buildings that are currently standing are the Keeper's house, A Barn, and a Boathouse (All 3 built in 1889). There's also an oil house (built in 1895). The island is a public park, but it's is accessible only by boat. The lighthouse isn't open to the public, but the grounds are open to the public. The island is mostly seen from sightseeing cruises leaving Camden Harbor. The lighthouse can be seen from the "Curtis Island Overlook", on Bayview Street, just southeast of the intersection with Beacon Street. Look for the sign and the path that leads to the water's edge. Camden is a town on Penobscot Bay, in Maine's Mid-Coast region. The High Street Historic District features 19th century homes and Camden public Library with it's landscaped amphitheater. Camden is also known for it's gourmet food and chef's. There's many restaurants lining the downtown and waterfront areas where guests enjoy fresh seafood. The locals and visitors alike usually go to the nearby parks to enjoy the beautiful sunsets or sunrises of the Camden Harbor. I was lucky enough to be on the Maine Windjammer Cruises and take this picture as we sailed the Camden Harbor. Sailing on this day was memorable due to the beautiful weather that day!
