ARCH PLANE copy modified.jpg

ZIP ART AVIATION By George Zip Andre

While visiting the Gateway Arch national monument in St Louis on a perfect day, I was grabbing various angles to take a shot with my Nikon. From the Southeast I saw an airliner approaching on his landing pattern to Lambert Field. I laid on my back and hoped I could get them both in the same frame, and as you can see, I succeeded with a dramatic, high contrast, high resolution, black and white image. It was pure luck to have captured them this way and it is one of my favorite pics. I could later determine it was an American Airlines Boeing 737 which is what my son flies as a Captain. It wasn't him though.
