John Wayne's Alamo - Square Version

Inspired by Film & Music By John Robert Beck

This art was created 2014. In 1960 John Wayne released a film called "The Alamo", this art was inspired by the opening credits of that film. Historically, it was not the most accurate depiction of what happened during those 13 days of glory in 1836. However as for pure entertainment, and for those who also were watching the Disney version of the Davy Crockett saga, this was a very big deal. ARTIST NOTE: The Alamo chapel that was depicted in the film was wrong historically (no upper windows), but the cross on the top of the shrine, and the lone sentry made such a power statement, that I had to respond with art. - J.B. This art also has a square version. The square version is not just cropped, but the art has been reworked to fit the ratio, The styles this art is offered are as follows: 1 - Prints on fine art archival matte paper attached to museum board (also known as gaterboard). The museum board is black and 3/16 inches thick. 2 - Prints on fine art archival matte paper, with a snow white mat, and elegant black frame. The print also has a glazing (acrylic glass): conservation reflection control. 3 - Prints on artisan archival canvas, thick stretched & mounted with professional taped backing & wire hanger. The canvas edge is black.
