My wife and I were on a cruise of Southeast Asia at the very start of Covid-19. Ports were beginning to close, and the end of the cruise was uncertain. The cruise line diverted us to a tropical island in Thailand where we went ashore on a tour of the land. At one of our stops, I saw the most beautiful water lily and took a picture. Once back I painted a watercolor art piece of it, but I was unable to reproduce the intense colors. After a couple of years, I imported a picture of the watercolor art into my iPad sketches program. I then proceeded to use the watercolor tool to brighten up the colors to their vivid natural form. This painting represents a memory of that time period reminding us beauty will always be around us.
