Purple Circle Series By Ed Sasse

With Then Without Cataracts a hybrid creation, number five of the Purple Circle Series The work is a representation of what the original artwork looked like, with then without, cataracts. The outer edge is off color and blurry, then the white area representing my awareness during the operation where I was semi-conscious. Finally the inner area after removal and replacement of the cataracts with artificial lenses enabling me to again see the original painting as it was intended to be viewed. This is a hybrid pairing of the original oil painting and computer software, no painting exists of this print.
