A memory of a soft sunset, the cares of the day melting into the distant haze. I had a habit in college of going for a long walk whenever class was particularly hard. Somehow this often happened in the fall, so I would throw on a coat and storm off to the outskirts of town and just walk. As I went, eventually my head would start to let go of whatever problem it was working on, and I would start to actually notice what was around me. Due to the timing of classes, that usually meant I look around and see I was being treated to a lovely sunset, if I just stopped to notice it.
