A New Found Friend

Animals By Margaret R. Isensee

Some of the best photos I take are in out of the way places not many people know about. This was taken from the side of a country road somewhere in Texas. A few cows, horses, and chickens were all in the same pasture. Was this cow really friends with a chicken or just curious? I watched them for a little while. A chicken was pecking in the grass, and the cow in the back followed the chicken. Eventually, the cow nudged the chicken out of the way, and I got this picture just in time. Timing and patience are part of taking a great photo.
