When I started this piece, I just had the green background and the rabbit. I felt like it was missing something, so I added the thorny vines. As the rabbit made me think of the Br'er Rabbit stories, that I read as a kid. I always loved those stories, as well as the movie version by Disney, they were silly and inspiring in so many ways.
