These are fascinating animals, especially for their intelligence and social behavior. With curiosity that can be similar to a young human and a sense playfulness as well. You could come across one riding down a snow covered roof with a bottle cap, or picking fun at another animal. They can form bonds with humans and other animals alike, and are known to pass information and knowledge down to offspring and different generations (including grudges). When people think of intelligence in animals, a mammal may come to mind, but a crow could have the cognitive ability of a 7 year old or possibly older. Some studies have even shown them solving problems that a young child could not. I believe that animals need to be respected a bit more than a lot of people give them, because you never know what they could be thinking.
