Grey Squirrel (with prey)

Just Look at Spring By Michael Bateman

This fella has an acorn and looks to be eating it. This is early spring and it looks like this acorn in particular is being eaten, but by fall this fellow will have hidden countless acorns in the ground to find again in the dead of winter, but many will be left there and become oak trees one day. It's hard to overstate the importance of the role Squirrels play in the proliferation of Oak Trees across the region. So enjoy this one little fellow, you've earned it.
