It was a magical moment in the backroom of Greenvale Vineyards... Next Act. Ballerina Brook DiFrancesco, of the Island Moving Company was in the middle of a costume change for the event, "Open for Dancing" A Celebration of Historic Landscapes through Dance. There was a flurry of dresses everywhere, the atmosphere charged when I snapped several photos in the backroom at Greenvale Vineyards. I cherished that memory and kept thinking about how I would capture that moment in a painting. Then, life changing events put a pause on my artistic pursuits. Two years later, I started this painting in my spare time, while working as an assistant manager of a retail store. Painting the detail was a pursuit! At one point I abandoned the picture to work on other projects, then started again. It took me nearly a year to complete. Museum quality archival Fine Art Prints now available on Hahnemühle paper.
