Many turtles lay eggs along the Florida coast line in some of the whitest sand you will ever see. Many of the hatches don't make it to the sea in populated areas, so workers collect the eggs from the nests and take them to hatcheries all over the world. This turtle rescue center is in Grand Cayman and they have the largest facility for Green Sea Turtles. The color of these turtles are enhanced to bring out the color of the shell. Thousands of green sea turtles are killed each year for their shells. The turtles in this tank are less than a year old and not much larger than a dinner plate.
