In this watercolor still life I wanted to paint things that brings family and friends together. The pumpkin and fall cooking items in the jars make me think of preparing for a gathering. I wanted to bring the elements of wood, glass and metal together in a painting. I also wanted to have a dark background with reflective colors showing from under the darker top layer. I created this watercolor piece on cold press paper using masking techniques and both wet on wet and wet on dry methods. Completed on 8-10-22
