In this watercolor landscape of a rusty bridge, I was trying to capture the feel of the mid day heat, the way the daylight plays with the shadows cast by the bridge and how time has weathered the steel structure to rusty beams still standing proud and ready to be traveled on by the next train. I painted this watercolor on cold press paper using masking technique along with both wet on wet and wet on dry methods. Completed on 9-15-21
