I tried to capture the water reflection of the landscape and the overcast sunlight in the stream along with the calmer and stronger currents to create a background for the Blue Heron to not only to stand out but also be a part of the stream. The Heron appears to be looking through the water at his targeted fish. I used Masking techniques and both wet on wet and wet on dry methods for this piece. Completed on 7-9-22
