I am amazed at how smart the Border Collie dog is. This is a portrait of my farm dog Layla on a hot summers day. In this watercolor I used many layers to create the background and her coat on cold press paper. I used masking techniques and both wet on wet and wet on dry methods. Completed on 8-19-20
